MEET OUR TEAM
J. Michael Anderson
J. Michael Anderson, CPA is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas, having earned his CPA designation in 1977. He brings more than four decades of experience in public accounting and tax advisory services, with deep expertise in real estate, oil and gas, and closely held business taxation.
Mike earned a BBA in Accounting from Texas Tech University in 1976, where he received the Accounting Excellence Award. He began his career at Pratas, Smith & Moore and Ernst & Ernst (now Ernst & Young) before becoming a partner at Armstrong, Backus & Co. LLP in San Angelo, Texas, where he practiced for forty years, including service as managing partner and partner in charge of the Midland office.
Since 2017, Mr. Anderson has practiced as a sole practitioner in Central Texas. His specialties include taxation under Internal Revenue Code Subchapters C, K, and S; real estate and oil and gas; small business and personal accounting; and IRS dispute resolution. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Texas Society of CPAs and has taught and authored continuing professional education courses.
NEERJA W KWATRA
Neerja W. Kwatra is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas (CPA #091810) and has held an active CPA license since 2008. She brings over a decade of experience in corporate financial reporting, corporate taxation, audit, mergers and acquisitions, tax strategy, commercial real estate underwriting, and investment portfolio management.
Neerja serves as a trusted advisor to business owners and investors, delivering data-driven financial guidance focused on compliance, sustainable growth, and long-term value creation. As the founder of multiple successful businesses and an active real estate investor, she combines deep technical CPA expertise with real-world operational and investment insight.
Harish Kumar
Harish Kumar is a Senior Tax Manager at NE Business Advisors with over eight years of experience providing tax and accounting services to businesses and individuals. His background includes individual and business tax return preparation, bookkeeping, and general accounting support.
Harish works closely with clients to ensure accurate reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and timely financial information. His practical approach and attention to detail help clients stay organized and confident in their financial records.

Nirali Patel is an Accounting Manager at NE Business Advisors with over seven years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping for business clients. She oversees day-to-day accounting operations, reviews financial records, and ensures accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting.
Nirali works closely with clients and internal staff to support month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Her attention to detail and structured approach help maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency across client engagements.
